The Yashwant Grameen Leadership Development Program was developed in collaboration with the Shripatrao Katkar Foundation and is running a year-long fellowship for youth and rural communities. Our primary objective is to enhance social security, insurance, and development.
It is an initiative designed to address the complex challenges faced by rural India by empowering local leaders and fostering sustainable development. The program is dedicated to enhancing youth employability, promoting gender equity, improving agricultural practices, supporting rural start-ups, and engaging educational institutes and ministries. By creating a repository of institutional memory and transforming villages into retreat centers and tourism hubs, YGLDP aims to preserve local culture and the environment while leveraging sports for development and generating sustainable livelihoods for women.
Sarpanch Leadership Development Program (SLDP) is a fellowship program that recruits fellows from across the country, each with diverse educational backgrounds, for a village immersion experience. Each fellow is assigned to a specific village and is expected to work closely with the Sarpanch over 12 months. During this time, fellows collaborate with the Sarpanch to expedite the implementation of various
development schemes, assess the needs of the village, and propose sustainable solutions across multiple sectors.
The program collaborates with regional and national educational institutions, various government ministries, and rural start-ups, creating a unique synergy among the Sarpanch, village, and fellows. Upon completing the fellowship, participants gain invaluable skills and leadership qualities, opening up a wide range of opportunities, including placements and senior-level roles in various sectors.
